Paper Pen

The Paper Pen was the winner of a design competition for Kingston University and is currently in the process of being manufactured. This project involved designing a corporate gift that was both small and light-weight, to allow for easy transportation.

The Paper Pen allows the user to remove sections of paper from the outside of the pen to use as note paper. The paper has a blank side for drawing and a lined side for writing and does not unroll near the nib so that a comfortable grip is always in place. The blue lines are made up of the words “Kingston University” in small blue letters to remind the user where they received the pen.

Both the cartridge and the roll of paper can be changed. If the owner runs out of paper refills the inner silver pen can be used alone, which is hallmarked with the Kingston University stamp.
